There is so much to take in an enjoy in Reedsport along historic Highway 101 on the Oregon Coast. You can cruise the Oregon Dunes nearby on an ATV or explore other attractions the area has to offer.
Reedsport was incorporated in 1919 at the convergence of three rivers. The city has relied upon the timber and fishing industries as business mainstays for generations, but new light manufacturing is also becoming an important strategy in diversifying the local economy.
Loon Lake Lodge & RV Resort (located on the lovely Loon Lake) offers camping as well as cabin and yurt rentals in a breathtaking setting.
Oregon’s first lighthouse located near Winchester Bay is one of the few you can see the inside of the light apparatus and at the same time get a great history lesson, thanks to a team of volunteers. The lighthouse is part of Umpqua River State Park and is managed by Douglas County Parks, which also oversees the museum about a block away in a historic Coast Guard building.
