Echo, Oregon
American Indian artifacts excavated in the Echo area show that it has been an attractive place to live for over 3,000 years. The clean air, scenery, quiet, historic atmosphere, community pride and low crime rate continue to make Echo an attractive place to live, operate a business, and raise a family. Old scenic buildings and homes abound in Echo. Over half the buildings on the west side of town were built prior to 1915. Echo was named for Echo Koontz, daughter of J.H. Koontz.
