Coos County community located at Tenmile Lakes, north of Coos Bay and North Bend,
was incorporated in 1974. The community offers a county park and boat launch,
recreational vehicle parking, boating and swimming. The lakes are a big draw for
fishermen who congregate several times a year in the community for bass fishing
competitions. The lakes also are popular with waterskiers and sailboat owners,
in addition to having many recreation homes in the area. For people who want to
camp, there is a county park and RV park within the city, and plenty of hiking
and camping across U.S. Highway 101 in the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area. Distance
